DL participates in the first meeting of Argentina’s Integrity Policies Observatory

Under the theme “Integrity and Transparency Policies in the Public Sector,” the first working meeting of the Integrity Policies Observatory (OPI) of Argentina’s Anti-Corruption Office (OA) took place on February 11. This is an inter-institutional participation space aimed at contributing to the design, evaluation, and improvement of public policies in transparency and the fight against corruption.
As members of the OPI advisory board, DL representatives participated in the event, which focused on developing a Guide for the Development of Integrity Programs. The meeting also included contributions from other non-governmental organizations, as well as representatives from business chambers and professional councils from the private sector.
During the meeting, guidelines for designing, implementing, and evaluating integrity programs in public sector organizations were presented, framed within a national strategy. The importance of establishing clear guidelines, minimum standards, and measurement mechanisms to evaluate their impact and effectiveness was emphasized.
About DL and the OPI
The OPI was created within the Anti-Corruption Office of the Ministry of Justice as a space for intersectoral and inter-institutional participation. Its goal is to promote preventive anti-corruption policies and foster effective, integral, and transparent institutions through joint and coordinated efforts.
In December 2024, DL signed a cooperation agreement with the OA, formalizing its participation in the OPI advisory board. The observatory carries out its activities around four strategic axes: (I) integrity and transparency policies in the public sector, (II) policies in the private sector, (III) dissemination and training, and (IV) coordination with provinces, municipalities, and other agencies and institutions.
